Forever 21

Top: Polka dot blouse from Forever 21. Similar here
Bottoms: Salmon shorts from Forever 21
Shoes: Peep toe booties from Forever 21
Clutch: Forever 21

Is it bazaar that I am still wearing shorts during this time of the year? The weather in Cali is still 75 to 80 degrees so I am enjoying it while it last. When I have completely nothing to wear I always go to forever 21. I know the quality isn't always that great but you can always find the latest trends there. And if you're like me who only wears it once or twice, forever 21 is a great last minute stop. Also if you are a college student like me, forever21 serves you with affordable prices. Like I mentioned earlier, you can still look stunning without breaking your wallet. I really need to start recycling my clothes and wearing it more than once, but there's always new cute clothes that I need to have! oh don't you love being a girl? I couldn't help it but put this cute outfit together for a little lunch date.
Simple, affordable and chic!

Today was just about the perfect weather and day to grab a cup of coffee and some sweets. It wasn't too cold so I decided to wear this oversized sweater with this unique asymmetrical studded skirt. I am so obsessed with asymmetrical designs lately. Kendra Scott Luxe launch party

Last night I attended Kendra Scott's launch party for her new jewelry line. It was a very successful night of entertainment, champagne, shopping and networking. I bumped into a few friends from HerCampus at UC Irvine and even bloggers Shannon and Allison from Itsybitsyindulgences, they were super sweet in person as they are on their blog! I also got the opportunity to meet Kendra Scott herself, she is a super inspirational and beautiful person inside and out! I couldn't get my eyes off her, she was just so amazing and fabulous! I left home with a brand new pair of earrings, and with my purchase I got a free necklace as a gift! Sweeeet! It was the perfect ending to my day!

Got my eye on the prize

Top: Dee-Elle
Bottoms: Stripe skirt from forever21
Shoes: Ankle strap from ASOS
Earrings: Emerald from Kendra Scott
RingKendra Scott
Bracelet: Rosegold cuff from Kendra Phillips
Bag: JustFab

These past few weeks has been a true blessing. I've been given a substantial amount of opportunities, it's a bit overwhelming to keep up with I'll admit. But I make sure that I don't let those opportunities disappear or keep me from my daily routine. I really think New York did the trick. Networking and meeting the right people truly makes a difference and adds value to my passion. I highly advise each of my readers to reach for your dreams. There will always be someone bringing you down, but remember there will always be those who will encourage you to surpass your potentials. There are always ups and downs to life, but remember to have a positive mind. I do this by turning to fashion, it's my happy escape. Have you ever heard of the term role overload? Being a sociology major, I hear this quite often. Being only 21, I feel like my role as a student, employee, sister and mother to my brothers, fashion blogger, president of my club, girlfriend, friend......has always been a challenge. But when I examine how my life would be without all of these roles, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I really want to inspire people to never let challenges get in the way of your dreams. It doesn't matter where you come from, your color, your lifestyle, YOU can do anything. It's your attitude and positive mentally that brings you farther than your differences. Continue to be the unique person that you are, because at the end of the day no one can be as good as being you than yourself. Just a thought for the day!

Lace + Fringe

Have you ever felt rushed to get ready because you have somewhere to be, at a certain time? For me, if I head out to dinner or an event I must leave early before the sun sets so that I can capture pictures of my outfit. I'm always in a rush and most of the time, I have nothing to wear. I'm pretty sure a lot of girls can relate to this, I'm sure some guys can too ;) I love it how my boyfriend can just put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and can get ready in seconds whereas I'm in my closet trying on 10 different outfits and never satisfied. Then I walk outside to find out it's hotter or colder than I expected, and the cycle of running into my closet pulling clothes out begins, I find myself laughing and frustrated at the same time. I used to be very good at planning my outfits at night but in this day and age, putting together a last minute outfit seems to be a daily thing. That's when a simple lace dress comes into play, and why not just put a kimono on top of that? You can never go wrong. So this is my lazy sunday outfit. Oh yea, and I had to wear my lovely earrings my boyfriend got for me, it definitely made up my outfit! Here I am wearing a Dee-Elle lace dress, along with a fringe kimono I got at a boutique a while ago. My earrings are from Kendra Scott, my rosegold cuffs are from Kendra Phillips and my heels are from Charlotte Russe. Hope everyone enjoyed their 3 day weekend xoxo.

Kendra Scott gives back

Last night, Kendra Scott threw a KGB event to raise funds for my club Fashion Interest Group and our charity! This was actually my first time here because this lovely jewelry boutique was opened just 6 months ago in Fashion Island, Newport. It was like jewels galore as soon as I walked it, I wanted everything! Of course the emerald and teal caught my full attention! The event was very elegant, they served us with champagne and cupcakes. I'm so grateful that my friend, Christina got my club and I sponsored by Kendra Scott. Look out for an invite soon, because next they are throwing me a "Girl's Night Out!" I wore a blue patterned dress from Dee-Elle, my ankle strap heels are from ASOS, my earrings are from Julie Vos and lastly, my handbag is from JustFab.

Red, White, and Blue

I love putting together outfits with a pop of color, and usually it's my necklace or my shoes. I find this outfit very fun and relaxing. And come on girls, you know we all pack a pair of flats in our purses, I learned my lesson the hard way in New York last week, when I was wearing heels all day at the conference and forgot flats to change in afterwards. This weekend, my boyfriend and I decided to have dinner in downtown Long Beach. I've lived here my whole life and I didn't realize how beautiful of a place it is, especially at night! We discovered a beautiful place to not only take great pictures but you can also overlook the beautiful buildings, ponds, and restaurants in shoreline village. The Bridge nearby actually led us to the village where we had a lovely dinner. Here I am wearing a very simple top from my favorite store ANGL, along with some royal blue pants from Charlotte Russe, and my red pumps from Windsor! Along with my outfit, I brought my new favorite handbag from Gailan New York! The rosegold hand cuff you see here is from Kendra Phillips, my new favorite Jewelry designer! I am also wearing a gorgeous necklace from Prima Donna, one of the lovely gifts I received from LuckyFabb!!

Fall feva

On this lovely day, I am wearing two items I received at the gifting suite at LuckyFabb. Let's start with the scarf, this infinity multicolor scarf from Quinn is just perfect for fall. This is actually my very first pair! It's the perfect weather for these chic and light scarfs so make sure to check out Quinn for more fall styles and colors to your liking. Another thing you spot in this ensemble is my lovely new Galian New York handbag! I know right, jaw dropping!! This messenger bag caught all of my friends and co-workers eyes when I came back from New York! It's such a simple everyday bag. I am also wearing my almost bootie like heels I got last week at Charlotte Russe! Perfection at it's finest for a highly shoe lover like me :D

Too much good stuff

In this post, I wanted to incorporate some of the accessories I received last week in New York at Lucky FABB. With my floral multicolor peplum skirt, I felt that the orange Melie Bianco cross body was the perfect match. I don't own any pair of orange handbags, so this was a greatly appreciated treat for me! I love trying new things and styling it with what I have in my closet. Along with the bag, I also received a lovely necklace from Capwell co, the design to this statement necklace is finely detailed and I am in love with the arrangement! I also received a gorgeous gold cuff from Kendra Phillips. This is actually my first pair of cuffs, I wasn't a fan of it before but coming across this beautiful bracelet at LuckyFabb opened up my eyes to trying new things. The design on this is so unique. Last but not least, I am wearing a new lip stick from bare minerals, Never say Never. This is also one of the goodies I received in the swag bag and the perfect color for any season. This is not even 10% of what I got from LuckyFabb, so stay tune for more!
