TeeKay takes New York

Today, I wanted to prepare another chic and on a budget look. When I saw this long skirt at charlotte russe, I fell in love! I really wanted to try something a little different. Even though it was super cold in New york, I really wanted to wear this on a dinner date with my boyfriend. Of course I wore a coat!

LUCKY FABB day 2

As soon as I checked in the Conde Nast at Time Square, we checked in our coats and got our schedules.I felt so privileged because the building was closed and you can see the Vogue team doing their thang, I can only imagine what wardrobe is hiding under the garment rack. Unlike day 1 of lucky fabb, day 2 consists of break out sessions where we get to choose what workshops we want to attend. My head is full of so many new knowledge, I learned how to quit my day job and become a full time blogger, how to monetize and how to do basic coding. I was also fortunate to listen to Jess Lee from Polyvore speak about her success. It was another day of fabulous! It's so amazing how women are really taking a stand in the business industry and truly inspiring how so many women are following this path. I definitely think that this majority presence of women in the fashion industry in top management is a great change. I am absolutely in love with New York!! I'm extremely grateful to have been invited to this wonderful blogger conference by Lucky Magazine and chasing my dreams. I kept getting stopped by the press for interviews, pictures of my outfit, my shoes, and the endless gifts and gift cards from lucky mag and sponsors...I can go on! Giving this event an A++ for treating their guests like royalty and giving me such a wonderful opportunity! I met amazing and inspiring women who are much older than I am, but so great to see the diversity come into play. I'm just glad that I had someone to share this experience with. Being my first time in New York, I had a very positive and fun approach to each struggle. We were running around time square, having no idea where we were going, taking the wrong subway...but I was not stressed at all. I was embracing my time in New York and saw this as a learning experience. At the end of the day, we got a big gift bag, like yesterday wasn't enough, we got even more today. And honestly it weighed more than me. I will for sure be doing giveaways and future posts soon on them :)

Lucky Fashion and beauty blogger conference in New York

I've always wanted to go to New York, I would dream of the Carrie Bradshaw's life. I feel so fortunate to have been invited to a blogger conference by Lucky Magazine and never thought that I would be in New York doing what I love. I started by blog 3 months ago after realizing that this is what makes me happy, this is my passion and will be the jumpstart that will gradually lead me into my future career. Finally I can express my lifestyle with confidence. Who would have known that 2 months later a wonderful opportunity would knock on my door. I am so blessed to be invited and be a part of LUCKYFABB 2013. My head is overwhelmed with not only excitement but new knowledge that I can not wait to share. After a long day of Lucky magazine fashion and beauty blogger conference and only 3 hours of sleep, I am glad to be in the beautiful apartment I am renting for the week through airbnb. I advise to plan your trip here, you get great deals and get an entire house or apartment to yourself! Today, we got to meet Lucky's editor in chief Eva Chen, we also got to hear a style conversation with Eva Mendez and Kate Bosworth, like how amazing is that? We also learned blogging tips from how to monetize your blog to how to gain a high traffic through social media platform and how to find a right balance. Myself as a new blogger, found this extremely helpful. Today we were very fortunate to hear in person the experiences and tips from top bloggers and founders : BryanBoy, Erica Domesek (P.s. I made this), Gabi Gregg (GABIFRESH), Alisa Gould-Simon (Pose), Lindsey Calla (Saucy Glossie), Amber Venz (rewardstyle), Mattias Swenson (Bloglovin'), Aliza Licht (Donna Koran International), Suzanne Schloot (Kate Spade New York), Stephanie Horton (FarFetch), and Amy Cole (Instagram).

Lushing for red

Top: Charlotte Russe
Necklace: Charlotte Russe
Shorts: forever21

Sundays are always family time with my boyfriend's family. It feels nice to keep up with our parents as they watch us grow into independent adults. I wish I had more time to spend with them. Today was a casual sunday so I decided to put together a cute and easygoing look. As I wore these green shorts, and my hair being as red as it is, I was thinking maybe I should be Ariel for Halloweenie. Just an idea! I'm a little obsessed with my new hair only because my beautiful aunt did it for me. I'm always satisfied with what surprise she has for me. It's definitely different and expresses a new me without having to change who I am. I'm so excited for what's to come, who would of known that a little change, like a hair color, a pair of heels, or even a smile can do. Positivity is key.

Wrap yourself in the rich colors of fall

Blazer: forever 21
Top: Angl
Bottoms: Angl
Shoes: Reflection
Purse: Michael Kors selma

These past few weeks consists of many quick shopping errands for New York, and I came across these great finds. Sometimes with our busy lives, we forget how exciting it is to be able to go to the mall and leaving happy because you came across some great deals or get exactly what you need. And there are times when what you visualized, may not be there. I usually shop online because you can find everything you want at a click of a button, however you don't get that one on one personal experience you get at the physical retail. Along this indecisive mind of mine I was able to pick up some great items. I am a very colorful person, as you can see. This classic peplum top from ANGL is so perfect, it goes well with every outfit. I paired it with my new skinnies also from ANGL, now let me tell you, these jeans are the perfect fit! they're slim and comfortable. Usually a great pair of jeans will cost over $100, not this one! In addition, I picked up my floral purple blazer during the summer closeout sell at forever21 and felt that I would make great use of it! now my shoes, can you say obsessed? I am a total freak when it comes to turquoise heels. It's just so lovely and the perfect finish to my business casual look!
