One of a kind Jumpsuit made by yours truly

One of my goals this summer was to create outfits to improve my sewing skills. So far I've created 3 outfits a week for two weeks and here is one of them. This jumpsuit is made by two unique fabrics that I picked up from Joann's for a great price. I told myself, why buy a jumpsuit for $60 if I can make one for $15! So far, I've made shirts, pants, skirts, shorts, and dresses but I have never made a one piece jumper, so this was a bit of a challenge for me. Luckily, my grandma who is a great seamstress was in town for a few weeks. I would not have been able to make this without her expertise. She guided me through the entire process showing me tips and very useful advices that I can apply when working on my next projects. This took me a total of 10 hours, which included making and cutting the pattern and sewing. This project was very enjoyable because the finished product turned out better than I expected. The best part was being able to share quality time with my grandma and getting one on one training from a professional seamstress.

Bubble gum pop

This classy look is the perfect evening outfit for a dinner date near the beach. When I spotted this pastel cross over top at Foreign Exchange, I just fell in love with it. Not only are the colors great for summer but it is so relaxed and fits perfectly. I also picked up my white sheer chiffon pants at Foreign exchange. My cheetah clutch has to be my new favorite accessory, I recently got it this weekend at Forever 21. Foreign exchange is also having a sale right now so if you are interested in getting some cute clothes for the summer, head over!! Happy shopping. xoxo

Colorful Summer

Summer time is the perfect season to pop out all of the colors in your closet. There is no limit when it comes to maxi skirts, there are so many varieties that you can choose from. I myself have turned into a new hobby and so far I'm loving it because I can make my own clothes for an affordable price. I got the fabric for my skirt at Joann's and it was 50% off, so pretty much this skirt cost me $5. This skirt is one of the simplest garments I've sewn. It literally takes 15-20 minutes to make. It's colorful arrangements creates a happy mood on this lovely summer day. You can pair the skirt with just about anything. Today I've decided to put on my black and white stripe body suit. I wore this outfit during a stroll at the beach and the breeze was perfect for my slit skirt. I also decided to wear my floppy hat to tame my hair from the wind, and it just adds that beachy feel to the look. Lastly, I can never leave the house without a beautiful statement necklace to add more color to my outfit and this dangly beaded necklace from Forever21 was the perfect finishing touch to my colorful summer!

Pink prints

When it comes to pink, I can not resist! I picked up these lovely print shorts at Forever21 and matched it with my Peplum Eyelet Top. You can wear this top many ways, here I styled it by tucking it in to get rid of the peplum and create a different look suitable for the shorts I'm wearing. What I like most about this outfit is that it's very simple and chic. You can wear it casually or make it an evening outfit. I would say this is definitely something I would wear to a lunch and shopping date with my girlfriends. When it comes to shoes, it is rare for anyone to see me in tennis shoes or sandals unless I'm running errands. I got my heels at Zara last spring and it was love at first sight. They're comfortable and great for any occasion. I've worn it so many times, it's definitely worth the price! Zara can never disappoint me with their shoe collection. To finish it off I wore my favorite statement necklace that I got at Charlotte Russe a while back. Every time I wear it, I get so many great compliments. Want your outfit to stand out? you can never go wrong with an eye-catching statement necklace. xoxo

We need color in our life

These coral chevron flare pants are my new fav!! They brighten every outfit and makes the perfect outfit for any occasion. I've worn these to a dinner date, the beach, school and work. Just put on the appropriate shirt and you're ready for a fashionable day. What I like most about these pants is that they are so comfortable, the elastic waist band gives it flexibility, which you can wear at the waist level or the hip level depending on the type of top you are wearing. In this outfit, I've decided to add a white blouse to add a classy look to this outfit, making it the perfect work or evening outfit. You can also add a statement necklace to finish up the look, but here I decided not to since the top of my blouse has little gold sequins.

Polka dot & mint

I've been obsessing over the color mint since spring. These mint jeans that I got from Forever21 is the perfect fit with any outfit, whether it's a polka dot shirt, bustier, or even a t-shirt. I love them so much, it's definitely staying in sight in my closet. I don't usually wear polka dot much but it was a perfect match for this outfit and nothing is more perfect than these lovely Cathy Jeans heels to finish up the look. Best of all, I got it for a great price.

B&W Colorblock

I am usually a very colorful person in my choice of clothing but lately I've been buying nothing but black and white to expand my wardrobe. They look good with anything and adds a classy touch to any outfit. These Faux colorblock shorts in particular caught my attention because they fit so perfectly and they're high-waist! It was part of my spring kollection but you can definitely wear it during the summer since they are shorts. To finish up my outfit I wore one of my favorite turquoise necklace which is a must when I'm wearing a simple top. I fell in love with these cheetah heels from Forever 21 which can dress up any outfit. You can wear these color block shorts to fit your personal style preference, they are so versatile I can dress it up with different tops, accessories, and heels. How would you wear these shorts?

Simplicity is beauty

Some days I like to overdress from head to toe and other days I like to keep it simple with a blouse and shorts. I don't think high-waisted shorts can ever get old, at least not these hot turquoise lace ones. Not only are they my favorite but it is comfortable for a day out with your girlfriends or even an evening out on a hot summer day. I matched this outfit with my loose bodysuit from Foreign Exchange I got a few months ago. If you're short and petite like me, just put on some comfy Jeffrey Campbell litas to finish up the look and you're ready to go.
